In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The mission centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Newest Free Story Addition
This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
